into an african boys philosophy africans and the turmoil we factoringbusinesssite com
The purpose of this work brings to mind the telltale history of Africa and our sad story. It is as sad and morally wrong as humanity has invented and executed. It seems our vulnerability has let our fellow mankind stick the knife then twisted it in our backs. Ours seems to be a tale of violence and bloodshed. It is in plain view to all those born there that we are assumed and expected to be less of human being in intelligence and other matters of the universe. One only needs to take a walk down memory lane: the genocide in Rwanda and Darfur,factoring business the bloodbath in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Liberia and Sierra Leone, the Saga in C?te d¡¯Ivoire, and the recent ethnic cleansing that came in the wake of rigged elections in Kenya to name but a few. In Kenya, there¡¯s clearly a sign of a country trying to move forward despite a difficult predicament with unlimited outside influence.factoring business Many factors account for this impasse, the most patent of which are artificial boundaries created between African peoples by colonial masters.
The irony with Africa is that its political boundaries derived from externally negotiated settlements, not to say brute European military force, rather than any ethno-linguistic arrangement.factoring business This cannot however be considered a problem anymore as it would be costly economically and in human lives to even think of re-doing. This is in consideration of the fact that the young generation understands it has a similar predicament with a possible same sad ending as a result of broken dreams and ambitions.
The trail of economic destruction and human suffering left on the African continent by civil wars is without precedence. Why civil wars continue to be routine on our continent remains a moot point. One reason may be that political oppression,factoring business racial subordination and economic exploitation have condemned Africans to a common misfortune. Another reason for the recurrence of civil strife in Africa is that aspirants to political power have often held different views as regards new socio-politico-economic dispensations in their respective countries. Civil wars are expensive and usually ¡°someone¡± is financing them behind the scenes. The rewards for this, range from cheap diamonds, to other natural resources.factoring business In my own conversation with Congolese rebels [who we speak the same language], I was surprised to realize they were in possession of very cool ¡°toys¡±. Sometimes a civil war erupts as a result of the demise of a dictatorial political order under a tyrannical president. But what we call a tyrant, and how the turn into one is a long subject which in my mind is yet to be explored. The case of the Somali civil war which erupted in the aftermath of the fall of the dictator,factoring business Siad Barre, is still fresh in our minds. While Siad himself was never materialistic, those around him certainly loved amassing wealth. He seemed to have a genuine intention but he wasn¡¯t prepared for the Soviet betrayal which left him a broken man. The civil war that engulfed Liberia following the demise of Machiavellian Samuel Doe is another case in point.factoring business Had there been abundance of diamonds, civil war would never have occurred. We can debate a millennium about who was buying the tainted diamonds. We cannot forget the civil war in Ethiopia that ended after the fall of Mengistu Haile Mariam.
In the main,factoring business it makes sense to conclude that the absence of a firm constitutional blueprint in the majority of African states has contributed immensely to the prevalence of civil wars on the continent, A constitution factoring the African way of life, with African interest. That is yet to happen and it would signal a new beginning for the world to let Africans rise from the ashes. A firm constitutional blueprint would serve a two-fold purpose. Firstly,factoring business it would guarantee fair power-sharing and equitable participation in the political life of nations. Secondly, a good blueprint would ensure that there is organized political succession, including the formulation of laws that stipulate the terms of office for presidents, members of parliament and ministers. Vetting political appointees has worked since the roman age¡.factoring business it is a no brainer we should adopt it. Nigeria embodies the political difficulties that Africa has experienced due to the absence of a constitutional framework. Despite the proliferation of constituent federal units in Nigeria, the conception of a firm constitutional and political order is still problematic. In consequence, the military has monopolized power in Nigeria since independence from Great Britain more than forty years ago.factoring business But in the land where the strong are powerful, this comes as no surprise to anyone; the military has the weapons, hence the power. In the words of a certain African philosopher, ¡±Nigeria oscillates today between political chaos and military autocracy!¡± He describes Nigeria as a prototype of neo-colonial states characterized by the following ills;
? Foreign domination;
factoring business
? Foreign ownership of big business;
? External military reinforcement;
? External financial control;
? Local intelligence services involving outside secret agents and mercenaries;
? Network of corruption; and
? Insignificant indigenous involvement in politics or business.factoring business
It has to be noted that the constitutional issue in Africa means more than simply drawing up a constitution. Africa¡¯s constitutions must be upheld in the day-to-day governance of nations. At present, there is too much toying around with national constitutions in Africa. There must be a way of holding African leaders accountable for any breaches of the constitution.factoring business The recent political fiascos in Togo and Cameroon are incontrovertible evidence that when the supreme law of the land is subjected to the whims and caprices of dishonest, self-seeking politicians, the end product is chaos and civil strife. Social stability and economic development are not chance occurrences. They are the result of sound decision-making.

By and large, the truth about Africa is that we are peace-lovers. Africans want a better place to live in. Sadly enough, when one looks at the history of Africa keenly, one observes three levels of oppression that stand out like sore fingers: blacks oppressing blacks,factoring business Arabs oppressing Blacks and whites, (neo-colonizers) oppressing both Blacks and Arabs. We cannot allow this inhumane status quo to go on forever. The onus is on us all to devise ways and means to reverse the current trend.
To address these issues in a layman language,factoring business we as Africans must take a page in history when deciding what path to follow. We must remember the similarities between London, Stalingrad and Leningrad. These cities were bombed to stone age for their defiance to Nazi rule, yet stood due to peoples determination and morale. In the end,factoring business it can all be attributed to the British for their courage when they stood alone against Hitler and his goons. If we as Africans, Kenyans will take a stand in 2012, we must have a permanent grip on our hopes and dreams.
Why do I emphasize of FIRM grip? The obvious is anytime we will make a stand,factoring business we know that we will have to absorb our enemies best shot. It isn¡¯t if they deliver it, but when. The only possible way is ¡°jamming¡±. I can describe it better in footballs terms. In college,factoring business I did try to play wide receiver for my pleasure. I had the speed and ability to catch the ball. But I find a nagging trouble in being jammed and hit by the defense to slow me down, or even knock me out. I probably wasn¡¯t ready to be hit frequently and ruthlessly, hence I never took the sport with any ounce of seriousness.factoring business For an African country to move forward, they must be ready to overcome being jammed and rocked about. With proper understanding and absolute determination, foreign jamming will win battles, but our citizens will win the final showdown. In the end,factoring business we must ask ourselves, how do we measure to our ancestors, and how will our children view our existence. Is it gluttons who sapped the remainder of our continents poor soul, is it a great generation that rose to the occasion?
But are we just looking to get out of poverty and misery or are we looking to be better humans? Can we control the elements within ourselves that feel we should exact revenge on others who may have wronged us? We must be driven by desire to do what`s right,factoring business and we must be ready to work with the rest of the planet¡.and beyond! It is hate that has ¡°jammed¡± our abilities and the basic thought of hope. We have taken our misery on each other in the name is clans, tribalism etc. We must point our morals upright if we are ever to see our destiny. In doing so,factoring business we will have thrown the gauntlet to our Maker about our intentions and the obvious destiny that would await our children. Despite this being as controversial as Andre Agassi`s toupee, I firmly believe we must too re-examine our grip on religion. Religion offers us hope, yes. But hope without a goal and plan is a wish.factoring business We must remember that Christianity is an imported religion. While I am a firm Christian, I do know it can¡¯t be a guiding light to the way a community will proceed. It is lately clear [by evidence] that Romans [Pilate] killed Jesus. One must read and analyze who Pilate was. He was a loyal roman [from the lower Pontii community of the Samnites tribe and eager to prove his loyalty to the empire].factoring business He was also a veteran of the Germanic wars which were lethal and bloody. He served as a prefect. It is this experience that made him a favorite to Tiberius, the emperor by the time. They both shared the fact that Tiberius was also a general at the same battle zones. Emperor Caesar kept him for the same qualities.factoring business This is the exact reason why he accused Jesus of claiming to be ¡°king¡±, at a time when he clearly understood that meant automatic crucifixion. This was going to be seen as high treason by a peasant Jew and the trick worked brilliantly for those that were eager to get rid of Jesus. We must too not forget Herod`s influence and his animosity and jealousy toward Pilate might have motivated him to push for the peasants death. If Herod wanted Jesus dead, and it would¡¯ve served him best if he got a chance to whip up the Romans rage towards Pilate; in which case Tiberius would have almost certainly recalled and executed him.factoring business From Jewish writers Josephus and Philo, we know that there was friction between the two on what to do about Jesus among other political battles. Actually we can troll back to the times Herod took action against John the Baptist, despite him being in Pilate`s territory. This was a chilling message to the young governor, Jewish,factoring business Christian and Rome itself. This is because Tiberius seemed to respect his puppet Kings more than his own governors. Tiberius was paranoid, enough said. A political decision it was, this was because it was common knowledge that Herod admired John and despite this being a great political move,factoring business it took his wife [Herodias] urging to actually execute him. A foolish promise to his step daughter cost the holy man his head! In fact, for long, Herod believed Jesus was John who had ¡°arose from the dead¡±. This is why he never arrested him despite his message bordering on the side of treason for over three years. Pilate had every political and personal gains ambition about the presence of Jesus.factoring business He believed Jesus could help him overthrow Herod. He had personal relations on some of the apostles. Simon knew he could be arrested any moment with Pilate`s orders and Pilate made it clear to him! Peter, Andrew, James and John, sons of Zebedee depended on Roman contracts for their fishing and shipping businesses.factoring business Mathew was a tax collector. If Pilate fired him, he wouldn¡¯t find work within Jews since he was considered unholy. He knew that all too well. It is clear that Pilate had nothing on Jesus and his brother James, but Herod had Killed John the Baptist.factoring business U see where I am going with this¡.Your enemies` enemy is your best friend kinda policy. We too know that the bible was written after 70 A.D. So the Christians must¡¯ve known about these facts. But they were human,factoring business and to be politically correct and advance their own ambitions and goals, [due to the Jewish massacre of 70 A.D.], Christians blamed it on the Jews and conveniently so for two reasons. One,factoring business it appeased the ruling Romans who had just put down a Jewish rebellion. Two, the Jews and Christians were feuding and had separated. Each was eager to finish off the other one and claim ownership to the preaching of Jesus. Just like today when churches split, the issues were economical,factoring business political and social. It seems nothing has changed since! Nobody doubts Jesus existed , but following a religion which has been politicized wont lead us to a future that I would want our children to live in. When we accept a foreign religion without scrutiny, to me that¡¯s a form of slavery. Slavery is at its worst when the slave accepts to be an uncritical android in the hand of his oppressor.factoring business We must deeply look at what we believe in, then if so, some can follow it
.By choosing to follow it, we must accept that it is also a work of fiction and politics mixed with the real gospel.factoring business Notwithstanding that those who handed us a bible colonized us and used us for their political and economic prosperity. We must recognize our own ancestors had religions that worked brilliantly for centuries. Only a fool repeats the same mistake and hopes for a different result! In the end, it is how we treat each other and the rest of creation that will matter in how we will be viewed by our maker and fellow pals. Religious differences must not make political differences in our times.
